Recently, I’m trying to incorporate healthier stuff into my eating rituals, including oatmeal. I have never interested in oatmeal before ( with the exception of oatmeal cookies ), but I have been loving it recently and trying to come up with various ways to cook it and delicious toppings to accompany my bowl of oatmeal. Nowadays I’m loving the combination of Ovomaltine ( lovely gift from dear sister ) and fresh strawberries. Those slices of strawberries just adds a little “oomph” to that yummy chocolate goodness. It is simply addictive and I don’t mind having a bowl of this delicious oatmeal porridge every single day of last week.
Ovomaltine & Strawberry Oatmeal
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp sugar
3 tsp Ovomaltine
4-6 strawberries, chopped
1. Add oats, milk sugar, and Ovomaltine to a saucepan, cook in a low-medium heat and bring to a boil – or until the desired consistency.
2. Stir in half of the chopped strawberries to the porridge.
3. Transfer to a bowl and top with the rest of the strawberries.
